| On Friday, September 8, 2006, CWA Local 1182 members voted to approve a new contract with New York City.
This contract includes a substantial raise of over the next 32 months. It also includes the elimination of an unfair residency requirement for enforcement officers, an additional 1% pay increase retroactive to the last contract, a generous increase to the welfare fund and other benefits.
Voting took place from 7:00am to 7:00pm at the Downtown Holiday Inn in SOHO, 138 Lafayette Street in Manhattan, on block North of Canal Street.
