Local 1182 members showed up in force to vote on the approval of a new contract with the City Of New York. The voting was heavy as members came from all 5 boroughs came to the Holiday Inn in Soho to vote, Click HERE to see the outcome of the vote.

 Protest of Hot 97

June 1, 2006 - Your executive board, brothers and sisters of local 1182 and supporters demonstrated outside of the offices of Emmis Communications home of Hot 97 and morning radio announcer Ms. Jones.

The protest and call to action of the firing of Ms Jones is due to her insensitive on-air comments asking the citizens of New York to attack Traffic Enforcment Agents after she verbally assaulted an officer over a broken parking meter.
